We stress so much about the stress that we forget to live in the moment and just enjoy life as it is. We forget the little moments because our faces are constantly pressed against a phone screen, we don’t appreciate the people around us because we are constantly waiting for someone better. Just stop to look at everything around you. When life changes plans on you, just roll with it...My flight out of Atlanta was cancelled this morning AFTER I already woke up at 3:45am to go to the airport. ⏰ At first I was angry, especially after finding out that it was because they didn't have enough crew members. So because people decided not to show up to work, a whole plane full of people were inconvenienced. My visit was only meant for the weekend, and I have a shift I can no longer make at work because of this mishap. BUT...after allowing myself to be angry over it, I stopped myself and said...there must be a reason this isn't working out. Maybe it was meant to keep me safe. Maybe there is something more important here for me today. Maybe I am supposed to learn something. Life is mysterious, and God is good. We aren't meant to be in total control of our lives. So it's best not to try to be.
